After confirming 9 cases of coronavirus infection among employees at Nanjing Airport, the eastern Chinese city canceled about 300 flights today.
Authorities stated that more than 100 flights had already been canceled the previous day.
Mass checks were conducted in four areas close to the airport.
Now anyone who wants to leave the city of 8 million people must submit negative results for a coronavirus test.
Routine examination :
Airport infections were discovered during a routine examination, and employees with corona were quarantined, then more employees were tested.
China has kept the virus largely under control since the epidemic first broke out in early 2020, and has seen only limited local outbreaks since then.
